History

How we started…

The official body of the graduates of the School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences of NTUA, since 2013.

The SEMFE Alumni Association (the “Association”) is the official body of the graduates of the School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences of NTUA (the “School”). The Founding Assembly took place on 29 October 2013 in Zografou, and the Association was then approved and entered in the register of the Athens Court of First Instance. The initiative came from members of the previous Alumni Association and from many new members.

So far, the Association and its members have played a decisive part in activities such as the external evaluation of SEMFE (PDF, in Greek), which bears directly on the career prospects of our graduates, the “movement of the 15” that went to court to win admission to the TEE (Technical Chamber of Greece), and the discussions on the SEMFE curriculum, as well as in many other events and meetings concerning SEMFE graduates.

The Association handles every matter concerning the professional recognition of SEMFE graduates, and also coordinates information talks and one-day seminars.
