The Association

Bodies of the Association

The bodies of the Association are the General Assembly, the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee.

The three bodies

The General Assembly

The General Assembly (GA) is the supreme body of the Association. It is made up of the full members who have met their financial obligations to the Association. It meets in ordinary session twice a year, at the invitation of the Board, which is announced ten days before the date of the meeting in writing, electronically or by any other appropriate lawful means.

The Board of Directors

It carries out the decisions of the General Assembly. It plans, decides and makes every possible effort, within the law and professional ethics, to pursue the purposes of the Association. It is accountable to the General Assembly. It proposes the measures needed to pursue the purposes of the Association. It sees to the collection of income and draws up the financial report of each year.

The Audit Committee

Together with the Board, the General Assembly elects a three-member Audit Committee. Its task is to audit the funds, the expenses and the receipts, and to submit a report on them to the General Assembly.

Elections

Elections for a new Board and Audit Committee are held every two years. Those who wish to be elected to the Board or the Audit Committee submit an application to the Board. The Electoral Committee announces the candidates and lists them in alphabetical order on a single ballot paper.

The candidates with the most votes are elected; in the event of a tie, lots are drawn.
